Read This Before We Work Together
These terms govern your use of this website and any services provided by The Good Marketing Team. By accessing this site or engaging our services, you agree to what is written here. If you do not agree, do not use this site.
Who We Are
The Good Marketing Team is a boutique digital marketing agency specializing in Generative Engine Optimization, Search Engine Optimization, AI Visibility, Digital Authority, Web Design, Link Building, and Malware Cleanup. We work with a limited number of partners at a time by design.
Application and Partnership Process
Submitting an application through this website does not guarantee acceptance or create any contractual obligation on our part. We review every application and respond only when there is a genuine fit. A formal agreement is required before any services begin.
Duration and Termination
All service engagements operate on a month-to-month basis from the date the agreement is signed. Either party may end the engagement by providing 30 days’ written notice. During that notice period, the full monthly retainer remains due for the complete 30-day period, regardless of where it falls in the billing cycle, and services continue through the final day of that period.
If either party breaches a material obligation, the other party will provide written notice specifying the breach. The breaching party has 10 business days from receiving that notice to correct it. If the breach is not corrected within that period, the non-breaching party may terminate the engagement immediately.
The engagement ends automatically once both parties have fulfilled all outstanding obligations to each other.
Upon termination, we will transfer to the client all login credentials, account access, and administrative rights to any accounts created or managed on their behalf. This includes but is not limited to website hosting, Google Business Profile, and Google Search Console. The client becomes solely responsible for all accounts and services from the transfer date forward.
Confidentiality
All terms of our working relationship and any confidential information exchanged between parties must be kept confidential unless disclosure is required by law. Neither party will disclose the other’s proprietary strategies, pricing, or internal processes to any third party without prior written consent. Using confidential information for any purpose outside the scope of our agreement is not permitted without written consent from both parties.
These confidentiality obligations survive termination and remain in effect for three years following the end of the engagement, or for as long as the information remains non-public, whichever is longer.
Relationship Between Parties
Working with The Good Marketing Team does not create a partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship. Neither party has the authority to act as agent for the other, represent the other, or bind the other in any matter.
Intellectual Property and Ownership
All deliverables created specifically for a client under a signed agreement, including website content, copy, graphics, and page structures, become the exclusive property of the client upon receipt of full payment for the billing period in which those deliverables were produced.
Pre-existing intellectual property, tools, frameworks, templates, methodologies, and proprietary systems owned by either party before the agreement begins remain the exclusive property of that party. Nothing in our working relationship transfers ownership of pre-existing materials.
Where we incorporate third-party licensed assets such as stock images, plugins, or software into client deliverables, ownership of those assets remains subject to their respective license terms. We will notify clients of any recurring third-party license fees that may affect access to those assets after the engagement ends.
Exclusivity
During the term of a signed agreement, The Good Marketing Team holds the exclusive right to create, edit, and deliver the agreed-upon services for the client.
Results and Performance
We perform all services in a professional manner consistent with industry standards. We do not guarantee specific search engine rankings, traffic volumes, lead counts, revenue outcomes, or placement in AI-generated search results. Search engine and AI behavior is determined by third parties including Google, Bing, OpenAI, and Perplexity, and is outside our control.
We are not liable for ranking fluctuations, traffic changes, or visibility loss caused by algorithm updates, Google Core Updates, manual penalties, or shifts in a client’s industry or market. SEO and GEO results build over time. No specific timeline for results is guaranteed.
Limitation of Liability
Neither party is liable to the other for indirect, special, or consequential damages including lost profits, lost business, or incidental costs. Our total liability to any client will not exceed the total fees paid by that client in the three calendar months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.
Website Use
All content on this website, including text, graphics, frameworks, and educational materials, belongs to The Good Marketing Team. You may not copy or reproduce any content without written permission. This website is for informational purposes only. Nothing on it constitutes a binding offer of services.
Third Party Links
This website may link to third party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.
Amendments and Notices
No modification to a signed agreement is valid unless it is written and signed by both parties. All formal notices must be delivered in writing via email with confirmation of receipt, or via certified mail. Either party may update their notice address in writing without requiring a full amendment.
Assignment
Neither party may assign or transfer their rights or obligations under an agreement without prior written consent from the other party. Agreements are binding on both parties and their permitted successors.
Electronic Signatures
Electronic and digital signatures are considered valid and legally binding to the same extent as original signatures.
Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for failure or delay in performing obligations that have become practically impossible due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, or widespread technology failures.
Severability
If any provision of an agreement is found unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions stay fully in effect.
Governing Law
These terms and all agreements between the parties are governed by the laws of the State of Washington.
Entire Agreement
A signed service agreement between the parties constitutes the entire agreement on its subject matter and supersedes all prior discussions or representations. Any modifications must be in writing and signed by both parties.
