Do the math

Over $50,000 a year, per member, on average.

Every time a member closes work from a referral, they report it to the chapter as thank you for closed business. Here's what last year's total works out to for the average person at the table.

Per month$4,444

$53,333 ÷ 12 months

Per TuesdayAbout $1,025

$53,333 ÷ 52 meetings. That's what 75 minutes in the room is worth, on average.

Referrals per memberAbout 33

1,000 referrals ÷ 30 members, or almost three a month.

These are chapter averages from totals reported in BNI Connect, not a promise. Some members bring in far more, some less. The ones who show up every week and give referrals tend to get the most back.

Not your stuffy networking group

No stiff name tags. No pitch-fest. Lunch is on us.

Most networking feels like a job interview in a hotel ballroom. Ours feels more like a lunch with friends who happen to send each other a lot of business.

A room on the water

We meet at Moss Bay Hall, a food and beer hall on the Kirkland waterfront by the marina. It beats a strip-mall back room by a mile.

Business just for showing up

When a visitor is a fit for someone a member knows, they pass the referral. Some visitors walk out with work on their very first Tuesday.

Friends, not just contacts

These become the people you call for a new roof, a mortgage, a good doctor, or advice when work gets heavy. That part is hard to put a number on.

Fun on purpose

We laugh a lot. A different member opens as the Purple Cow each week, wins get snaps, and there are wine nights after hours. The meeting runs more like a show than a lecture.

Why it works

It isn't a mixer. It's 30 people who know your business well enough to sell it.

Most networking ends with a stack of cards. Here you see the same faces every week, learn exactly what each person needs, and hand over real introductions with a name and a phone number attached.

No competitors in the room

One seat per profession. If you're the plumber, you're the only plumber. Every referral for your trade comes to you.

One seat each

A sales team you don't pay

Every member is out talking to their own clients all week. When one of them needs what you do, you're the name that comes up.

30 people listening

Warm introductions, not leads

A referral here means someone who trusts you already vouched for you. Those close faster than any ad or cold list.

1,000+ a year

The same faces every Tuesday

Same day, same time, same people. Seeing someone every week is how trust builds, and trust is what turns into referrals.

Every Tuesday

Power teams that share clients

Members who serve the same customers work as a team. A realtor, a lender, an inspector and a plumber can pass one family around four times.

Built-in partners

Owners who get better at this

A short training moment every week, plus one-to-ones with people who have built businesses here. You get sharper at telling people what you do.

Learn every week
Who we're looking for

Room for more than these. Here are a few we'd love to meet.

Any profession that isn't already at the table is open. These are just the ones members get asked for most right now. Once you take a seat, it's closed to your competitors for as long as you stay.

Is it right for you?

Honest answer: it works for some owners and not for others.

You'll probably love it if

  • Your business runs on trust and word of mouth.
  • You can be in Kirkland most Tuesdays at 11:30.
  • You like sending work to people as much as getting it.
  • You serve homeowners or local businesses on the Eastside.

It's probably not for you if

  • You want leads by next week without putting in time.
  • Your schedule can't take a standing weekly meeting.
  • You only want to take referrals, never give them.
  • Your profession already has a seat at this table.
Right in the middle of the Eastside

Kirkland is a short drive from wherever you work.

The meeting is at Moss Bay Hall, 111 Central Way, on the Kirkland waterfront. For owners in Bellevue, Redmond, Bothell and Woodinville, that's usually 15 to 25 minutes away, and Seattle is just across the lake. If you're looking for a networking group on the Eastside, this one sits right in the center.

Questions people ask

Networking in Kirkland, answered.

What is the best networking group in Kirkland, WA?

It depends on what you want. If you want steady referrals, a BNI chapter is built for that: one member per profession, weekly meetings, and a habit of passing introductions. If you want community and civic connections, a chamber of commerce or Rotary club is a better fit. Leads to Perfection is a referral-focused BNI chapter in Kirkland whose 30 members passed more than 1,000 referrals and over $1.6 million in closed business in the last 12 months. We're biased, so the best test is to visit two or three groups and see which room could actually send you work.

Is there a BNI chapter in Kirkland?

Yes. Leads to Perfection is a BNI chapter that meets in Kirkland every Tuesday from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm at Moss Bay Hall, 111 Central Way. Visitors are welcome any week.

When and where does Leads to Perfection meet?

Every Tuesday from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm at Moss Bay Hall, 111 Central Way, Kirkland, WA 98033, on the Kirkland waterfront by the marina. Open networking starts at 11:15, and most members stay a little after to keep talking.

Is it free to visit a BNI meeting in Kirkland?

Yes. Visiting Leads to Perfection costs nothing, and lunch and coffee are on us the day you visit. Pick a Tuesday with the form on this page, come at 11:15, and a visitor host will introduce you around. You'll get 60 seconds to tell the room what you do, and there's no pressure to apply.

What kinds of businesses are in Leads to Perfection?

The chapter includes a mortgage lender, insurance agents, a financial advisor, a bank, a real estate agent, a general contractor, a plumber, an electrician, heating and air, a painter, concrete, restoration, landscaping, carpet cleaning, commercial cleaning, marketing, web design, IT, software, business law, a business consultant, a naturopathic doctor, a dentist, acupuncture, massage and more. Any profession that isn't already at the table can apply for a seat.

How much business does the average member get?

Over the last 12 months, members reported more than $1.6 million in closed business from referrals passed in the chapter. Divided across 30 members, that's about $53,333 per member a year, or roughly $4,444 a month. It's an average, not a promise. Members who attend every week and give referrals tend to get the most back.

How much does it cost to join BNI?

Visiting is free. If you decide to join, BNI membership has an annual fee set by BNI, plus the cost of the weekly meeting. The amounts change from time to time, so we share the current numbers in person when you visit rather than post a figure here that could go out of date.

What happens at a BNI meeting?

Leads to Perfection runs on a 75-minute clock. Open networking starts at 11:15. At 11:30 visitors are welcomed, every member gives a 30-second pitch with one specific ask, and visitors get 60 seconds to share what they do. Then the chapter shares its numbers, two members give eight-minute spotlight talks, and members pass referrals to each other. The meeting ends at 12:45.

What does one seat per profession mean?

Only one member from each profession can hold a seat, and any profession that isn't already taken is open. If a chapter already has a roofer, no other roofer can join while that member stays. It means every roofing referral in the room goes to one person, and members never compete with each other for the same work.

Is BNI worth it for a small business?

It is for owners who show up. BNI asks for weekly attendance, one-to-one meetings with other members, and a real effort to refer others. Owners who do that tend to get steady referrals within a few months. Owners who want quick leads without the time usually don't stay.

Are there networking groups near Bellevue, Bothell, Woodinville or Redmond?

Yes. There are several BNI chapters across the Eastside, along with chambers of commerce in most cities. Leads to Perfection meets in Kirkland, which is usually 15 to 25 minutes from Bellevue, Redmond, Bothell and Woodinville, so owners from all of those cities can make the Tuesday meeting.

How is BNI different from a chamber of commerce?

A chamber connects you with your local business community through events, advocacy and visibility, and it welcomes many businesses in the same field. BNI is a smaller, weekly group with one member per profession whose main job is passing referrals to each other. Plenty of owners belong to both.

What if my profession already has a seat?

Then that seat is taken in this chapter, but you're still welcome to visit and meet people. Other BNI chapters on the Eastside may have your seat open, and we're happy to point you to one.
