Good for Franchises · Brands under 100 locations

AI is forming its opinion of your brand from your first locations. Let's make it a good one.

Franchise buyers ask AI which brand to invest in. Customers ask AI which location to call. We make sure both answers are yours, with AI visibility, franchise development, local search, websites and reviews run as one system by one team. Your owners get room to grow inside your standards. You see all of it in one page a month.

Two funnels. One team. The same pages feed both.

Most franchise brands hire one agency to sell franchises and another to market locations, and the two never talk. But the buyer researching your brand and the customer looking for a location are asking AI about the same thing: whether your brand is real, trusted and worth choosing. We run both, so every page, review and mention works twice.

Franchise development

  • Get the brand named when buyers ask AI about investment level, fit, support, semi-absentee ownership and newer brands worth a look.
  • Franchise opportunity pages that answer those questions plainly: what it costs to open, who succeeds, what training looks like, what owners say.
  • Franchisee stories and mentions on the sites AI cites for franchise research: trade press, franchise directories, association pages.
  • Inquiry forms and tracking, so you can see which candidates found you through AI and search, not just how many.
  • Each month: where your brand shows up in buyer answers next to the brands you compete with for candidates.

Local growth, for every owner who wants it

  • A real section per location: hub, service pages, a local cost guide, an FAQ, the team.
  • Google Business Profile complete and matching, reviews answered by a person.
  • Mentions on the local sites AI trusts: chambers, local press, partner pages.
  • Calls and bookings tracked for the owner, so they can see what's working.
  • Each month: the owner gets their report, the brand gets the roll-up across every location.
Written inside the rules. Franchise development content follows the FTC Franchise Rule and your registration states. No earnings claims outside Item 19, no promises your FDD doesn't make, and your franchise counsel sees anything that touches the offer before it goes live.

Why now, and why under 100

There's a window. It closes somewhere around location fifty.

AI tools don't have an opinion of a brand they can't read. For a young franchise, what they can read is a small set of location pages, Google profiles and reviews. That handful becomes the brand's reputation inside ChatGPT and Google AI, and it gets repeated to every customer who asks.

At twenty locations you can still decide what that reputation says. By a hundred, it's already set, and changing it means fixing a hundred pages instead of twenty. The brands that win the AI answer in 2028 are the ones that got their first markets right in 2026.

That's why we work with brands under 100 locations, and prefer under 50. It's where the work changes the outcome.

The real question

How much marketing freedom should your owners have? More than they have now. Less than all of it.

Every franchisor wrestles with this. Here are the pros and cons of each extreme, and the middle we build for.

Tight control One vendor, one template

Pros
  • Every location looks and sounds like the brand.
  • One invoice, one report, one number to call.
  • Fast to launch. Fifty pages in a week.
Cons
  • Fifty pages that say the same thing. AI can't tell them apart, so it names the independent down the road.
  • Owners pay for marketing they didn't choose and don't believe in.
  • One location page per owner. No room for the service pages, cost guides and FAQs that AI actually quotes.
  • When owners disengage, the brand's local reputation goes quiet.

Full freedom Owners do whatever

Pros
  • Owners who care build real local presence, fast.
  • Real pages, real reviews, real local mentions. The things AI reads.
  • Owners with marketing control report far higher satisfaction with the brand.
Cons
  • Off-brand pages, wrong claims, legal exposure.
  • Three owners bidding against each other for the same search.
  • No way for the brand to see what's working or who's falling behind.
  • A weak owner's page becomes what AI thinks of the whole brand.

What we build: structured independence

The brand sets the rails. Standards, claims, the page framework, the review rules. Inside those rails, each owner gets a real section of the web, not one page: a location hub, service pages for what they actually do, a cost guide, an FAQ written from their customers' questions, and reviews answered by a person. Enough for AI to tell them apart. Not enough to go off-brand.

We hold the rails for you. We write inside your standards, we flag anything not covered, and you see every owner's section in the monthly roll-up. Owners get independence they'll thank you for. You get visibility you've never had.

What the check shows

Ask AI about twenty-four of your locations. Most brands are surprised by how few it names.

This is what a first check tends to look like for a young brand. Press the buttons to see what changes when owners get real pages.

Why so few?

Not because the locations are bad. Because AI can't tell them apart. When every owner has the same page with a different city in it, a customer in Raleigh who asks who to call gets an answer built from twenty-four pages that say the same thing. So AI names the independent down the road instead.

The amber tiles are the owners with a real section: a hub, service pages, a cost guide, an FAQ, reviews answered by a person. We build that for every location that wants it, inside your standards, and you see the grid every month so you know which ones do.

The honest comparison

The big franchise agencies are built for 200 locations. You have 30.

Where the big agency is the right call

  • Past 100 locations you need one vendor, one invoice and one standard. We'll tell you when you get there, and we'll hand off cleanly.
  • National ad funds, TV and brand campaigns are their business. We don't run them and won't pretend to.
  • If every location page has to launch in a week, a template is the only way. Ours take longer because they're written.
How we work

Five layers, grown in order, for the brand and every location that signs on.

The same method behind every partner we have. For a franchise, it runs once for the brand's franchise development pages and once per location, inside your standards, and reports up to you.

Why so few

Three franchise brands at a time. On purpose.

A brand is not one account. It's twenty or fifty owners, each with their own pages, their own reviews and their own questions. We keep the number small so each brand gets people who know its owners by name.

3franchise brands, maximum

One brand is with us today. Two spots are open. When they're filled, we'll say so here, and the next brand waits for a spot rather than getting a thinner version of this.

30independent clients, strict limit

Alongside the franchise brands, we keep a hard cap of thirty independent businesses: remodelers, clinics, law firms, IT companies. Your brand isn't our only client, and it isn't one of hundreds. It's one of three.

No rebate
pledge

We pay no rebates. Your owners will know, and they'll trust you more for it.

Rebates from approved vendors are legal and most brands disclose them. They're also the first thing an owner points at when they wonder whose side a vendor is on. We'd rather be the vendor on your list that costs owners less and gives you nothing to explain.

  • Owners pay us directly, at the same public prices as every partner.
  • The brand receives nothing from us, in writing for Item 8.
  • If a brand needs a rebate to list us, we won't be listed.
  • Every owner sees their own report before you see the roll-up.

What your owners will ask you

Six questions owners ask about any vendor on the list. Our answers, so you have them.

  1. Does the brand get paid for recommending them?

No. Nothing, ever, and it's in writing in Item 8.

  2. If I stop, do I keep my pages, my content and my Google profile?

Yes. It was yours while we worked together, and it stays yours.

  3. How long is the contract?

One month. Then another, if they've earned it.

  4. Do I get one page, or a real section?

A section: hub, service pages, cost guide, FAQ, reviews. Written about your location, inside brand standards.

  5. Can I see what AI says about my location before I pay?

Yes. That's the first thing they do. It's called the Check.

  6. How many brands do they work with?

Three at most, and a strict limit on independent clients. That's why the other five answers stay true.

Good questions

What franchisors ask before choosing a marketing vendor.

How do I find a good marketing agency for my franchise?

Look for four things. First, ask what they'll show you before you sign; a good vendor will run a check on a few of your locations and show you what AI and Google say today. Second, ask who they're built for; an agency designed for 200-location systems will treat a 30-location brand as its smallest account. Third, ask whether owners get real pages or a template, because templated pages are the main reason franchise locations go unnamed by AI. Fourth, ask about money: contract length, who owns the pages, and whether they pay the brand a rebate. The best answers are short, in writing, and the same for every owner.

What should a franchisor look for in a digital marketing vendor?

A vendor that treats AI search, local search, the website, reviews and content as one system per location, not as separate line items. Written brand standards they sign before starting. Month-to-month terms for the brand and the owner. Clear ownership, so the owner keeps their pages and profile if they leave. No rebates, so owners trust the recommendation. And one plain report a month that shows which locations are winning and which need help, rather than a dashboard nobody opens.

What is the best marketing agency for an emerging franchise brand?

The best fit for a brand under 100 locations is an agency built for that size, not one built for 200-location systems. Look for a team that handles both franchise development and local marketing, because the same pages, reviews and mentions drive both. It should treat AI search as core work, write each location's pages rather than templating them, sign your brand standards, follow the FTC Franchise Rule in anything that touches the offer, work month to month, and pay no rebates. Ask to see what AI says about your brand and five locations before you choose.

Do prospective franchisees use ChatGPT to research franchises?

More of them every month. 44% of U.S. adults used ChatGPT in early 2026, up from 18% in 2023, and buyers use it the way they'd use a franchise consultant: they describe their budget, background and goals in one long question, then ask AI to compare brands and build a shortlist. If your brand isn't in that answer, many candidates never reach your website. Clear, specific franchise pages and third-party mentions are what get a brand onto the shortlist.

How can a franchisor get more qualified franchise leads?

Answer the questions good candidates actually ask, where they ask them. That means franchise pages that speak plainly about investment, fit, training and what owners say; owner stories and mentions on the sites AI cites for franchise research; inquiry tracking so you know which sources bring candidates who reach discovery day; and showing up in AI answers for the questions that match your ideal owner. Qualified leads come from being specific, because vague pages attract everyone and convince no one.

Is there an all-in-one marketing agency for franchisors?

A few, and most are built for large systems. For an emerging brand, all-in-one should mean one team running franchise development, AI visibility, local search, location pages and reviews as one plan, with one monthly report to the brand and one to each owner. We work this way with up to three franchise brands at a time, as an approved vendor owners choose rather than a mandate.

Should franchisees run their own marketing, or should the brand control it?

Neither extreme works. Full brand control produces templated pages that AI can't tell apart, and owners who pay for marketing they didn't choose. Full freedom produces off-brand claims, owners bidding against each other, and no view for the brand. The middle that works is structured independence: the brand sets the standards, the page framework and the review rules; each owner gets a real section inside those rails; and the brand sees every section in one monthly report. Owners with real marketing control report far higher satisfaction with their brand.

How many web pages does each franchise location need to show up in AI search?

More than one. A single location page with the city filled in gives AI nothing to quote. A location that gets named usually has a hub page, a page for each main service in that city, a local cost guide, an FAQ written from real customer questions, reviews answered by a person, and a team page. Call it six. Each one answers a question customers actually ask, which is what AI tools look for when they decide who to name.

How does a new franchise brand get recommended by ChatGPT?

AI forms its view of a young brand from the locations it can read. For a brand under fifty locations, the first location sections, Google profiles and reviews decide what AI believes about everyone wearing the logo. The fix is to make the first locations unmistakably real, with written pages, complete profiles, specific reviews and mentions on trusted local sites, then check every month what AI says and close the gaps.

Does ChatGPT recommend a franchise brand or a specific location?

Both, in two different answers. Asked whether a franchise is any good, AI talks about the brand. Asked who's the best one near me, AI names a specific location, chosen from that location's own pages, Google profile, reviews and local mentions. A strong brand with templated location pages loses the second answer to an independent competitor, or to another owner in the same brand.

What questions should a franchisor ask a marketing agency before approving them?

Do you pay us or anyone a rebate or referral fee? What's the contract length for the owner and for the brand? Who owns the pages, the content and the Google profile if an owner leaves? Will each location get a written section or a template? Can you show us what AI says about five of our locations before we decide? How many brands do you work with at once? What does the brand see each month, and in what form? Get the answers in writing and compare them side by side.

How does a marketing agency get on a franchise's approved vendor list?

The franchisor adds the vendor to the approved supplier list disclosed in Item 8 of the FDD, usually after reviewing the vendor's work, signing brand standards, and agreeing on any fees. We ask to be listed as an option, never a requirement, we sign the brand's standards before any work starts, and we pay no rebates or referral fees, which we confirm in writing for the disclosure.

Do franchise marketing agencies pay rebates to franchisors?

Many do. Rebates and referral fees from approved suppliers are legal and are disclosed in Item 8. They are also a reason owners pay more than the open-market rate and a common source of owner distrust. We pay no rebates to anyone, and we'll confirm that in writing.

How many franchise brands do you work with?

At most three at a time, alongside a strict limit of thirty independent clients. A franchise brand is twenty or fifty owners, each with their own pages, reviews and questions, so we keep the number small enough that each brand gets people who know its owners by name. When all three spots are taken, we say so on this page and the next brand waits for a spot.
